Natalie Michelle Cummings was not yet a year old when her mother turned down a chance to return to television as Marcia Brady in 1990. The people she comes from
Maureen McCormick was born August 5, 1956, and became known nationally as the oldest Brady daughter on The Brady Bunch, which ran from 1969 to 1974. She married Michael Cummings on March 16, 1985, four years before Natalie was born on May 19, 1989. McCormick has written about the years before that marriage, including a drug addiction that began in the years after The Brady Bunch ended and continued into the 1980s. She covered the period in her 2008 memoir, Here’s the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice, which reached number four on the New York Times bestseller list. She has said her recovery started around the time she met Cummings, though it took years to fully take hold.
Michael Cummings’ first professional stage role was at Den Nationale Scene in Bergen, Norway, the theater where playwright Henrik Ibsen got his own start, in a production of Ibsen’s A Wild Duck. He later earned a theater degree from the University of Minnesota and moved to Los Angeles to continue acting. That career paused in 1989, the year Natalie was born, when he left it for corporate sales.

Circus in July 1998, and the Los Angeles premiere of Cinderella Man in 2005. No photograph of her with either parent has surfaced since.

Where her parents are now
McCormick, now 69, never fully stepped back from public life the way she did in 1990. She and Cummings marked forty years of marriage in March 2025. She has served as a Special Olympics Global Ambassador since September 2020, and in November 2025 she returned to the stage in the off Broadway play Pen Pals at New York’s DR2 Theatre, opposite Sharon Lawrence, telling Forbes she was drawn to a script built around a friendship between two women. The following spring, she and Cummings appeared together in an ad campaign for J. Press and Alex Mill.
Michael Cummings returned to acting too, eventually, taking a role as Burt on the ABC series Castle roughly twenty years after he left it for corporate work in 1989.
